The Mission of PCC Stride, Inc. is to create brighter futures for all ages by improving individual, family, and community life through professional services and programs for foster children and parents. In doing so, PCC Stride, Inc. upholds The Vision to address the issue of poverty and exclusion by providing services and supports to foster youths, their families and communities.
The agency is a community based non-profit licensed child placement agency in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland, which provides extended family home services and therapeutic foster care services to youth who are involved in the juvenile justice system and out-of-home care. These youth have a broad range of characteristics such as emotional problems, behavioral problems, psychiatric and psychological and educational problems
